Our Vision and Mission
The Tate Williams Leadership Academy aims to develop leadership qualities among young African American men in our community. In partnership with Guilford County, the Kappa Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. provides opportunities for participants to develop their voice, learn from imaginative leaders, and engage with their community.
Since 1923, Kappa Lambda has mentored young men as servant leaders, impacting city council members, educators, and business leaders in Greensboro and High Point. The leadership academy will focus on career readiness, civic engagement, social networking, and self-awareness. Participants will empower themselves to excel as intellectuals and leaders in all areas of life.

Career and College Readiness
Our career and college readiness program equips students with the tools and mindset to navigate and excel in their academic and professional journeys. Through a blend of academic support and real-world experiences, participants learn how to turn their aspirations into tangible opportunities.
Servant Leadership and Service
In our servant leadership and service specialization, students engage in initiatives that allow them to serve their communities with empathy and commitment. They gain practical skills that are essential for making a positive impact and supporting others in a diverse and dynamic society.
Civic Engagement and Social Networking
The civic engagement and social networking program focuses on developing students' abilities to engage with their communities and build meaningful connections. From understanding social issues to fostering inclusive networks, participants learn how to contribute to the betterment of society and create lasting impact.
